The story behind unearth

I’m Whitney– the designer and maker behind Unearth Adornments.

Unearth is a small studio jewelry brand based in the Adirondacks of Upstate New York. I create minimalist, geometric jewelry using sterling silver, 14k gold-filled wire, and natural gemstones chosen for their beauty, quality, and character.

Jewelry has been part of my life since high school and college, where I first discovered the joy of working with metals and stone. That early interest eventually led me to pursue a career in graphic design, sharpening my eye for clean lines, balance, and timeless form– elements that continue to shape my work today.

After stepping away from full-time design while raising my family, I found myself drawn back to my first creative passion. Jewelry became the place where design, material, and process came together in a way that felt both natural and deeply personal.

Unearth Adornments is the result of that return; a collection of modern jewelry grounded in form and stone. Each piece is designed to feel intentional and easy to wear, with a quiet connection to the materials it’s made from.
